- Work to bring in private sector efficiency, innovation, and investment to modernize and stabilize St. Croix’s power and water infrastructure.
- Require that all federal and local funds for WAPA contracts and projects meet all legislative review and approval.
- Push to accelerate WAPA’s transformation into a modern utility capable
- Explore power generation for the island of STX through the refinery.
- Expanding access to renewable energy sources such as solar and wind offers a pathway to energy independence, economic savings, and environmental sustainability. Emphasizing renewable energy would not only lower costs for residents but also position St. Croix as a leader in sustainable development within the Caribbean.
Amend Public Works Act Title 31 to Separate the Department of Public Works to create funding and create separate public work departments by district with its own funding operation and oversight St. Croix would run its own Department of Public Works, manage its own district, its own funding, and address issues in a timely manner.
